Happy New Year!

Since arriving in the Caribbean in late November, Saecwen has been cruising through the southern Islands visiting Mustique, Bequia, the Tobago Cays, Carriacou and finally we have arrived in the beautiful island of Grenada.  

We enjoyed Christmas with a lobster barbecue on the beach and some fantastic snorkelling in the Tobago Cays.  This tiny set of islands protected by a coral reef is home to turtles, rays, and encouragingly healthy-looking coral which provides a great breeding ground for lots of stunningly beautiful tropical fish.  

We welcomed in the New Year on the magnificent Grande Anse beach in Grenada with roti and fireworks and what seemed like the majority of Grenada’s small island population.  Over the next few weeks Saecwen will undergo a much-deserved refit before continuing her adventures.

As the sun set on 2025 and rose this morning on 2026, nothing can sum up better our last eight months at sea than the magnificent sunsets and sunrises we have witnessed along our 8,000 mile voyage since leaving Lymington in May.
